October Online sessions

This month is all about the bottles and developing experience with different materials. By focusing on the same subject matter it will build up your confidence with your drawing skills and new materials.

Tuesday 6th October Bronze - drawing a bottle of wine using white chalk and black charcoal on black sugar paper. This technique is great and I will showing you the erasure method. You will need an A4 or A3 piece of black sugar paper (depending on how large you would like), white chalk pastel and charcoal.

Tuesday 13th October Silver - drawing a bottle of wine using a biro. Let the pen work freely and become more expressive. You will need an A4 or A3 piece of white cartridge paper and a black biro.

Tuesday 20th October Gold - drawing a bottle of wine using watercolour pencils. Watercolour pencils can transfer a drawing with just a snippet or a lot of water. This will be a fun experimental session. You will need A4 or A3 cartridge paper and watercolour pencils.

Tuesday 27th October Gold - drawing a bottle using complimentary colours using colouring pencils.  You will need A4 or A3 cartridge paper and colouoring pencils.

I prefer to use A3 as I find this easier working with the height of the bottle but you can use A4 and I will show you some tricks to help keep within the size of the paper.

Sneak peak at November

For November I will get the Gold and the gold star members to create their own winter acrylic scene so make sure you get hold of an A3 canvas in advance.

Details of online sessions can be found on the Green Fox Workshops Patreon page.

“Loved every minute”

“This was my first course with Gemma, and I have loved every minute of it. I would never have expected to be able to produce a piece of artwork that I would feel so proud of, but thanks to Gemma, I have!”

The materials were all provided, the venue (Arnos Vale) really lovely (great lunch and coffee) and I am thrilled with the results of printing. I’ll definitely be back!”

“Lovely way to fill an evening”

“Oil painting at the Kingfisher Cafe. Lovely way to fill an evening and lovely venue. As an absolute beginner I had no expectations but after just four sessions I came away from the course with a fantastic looking oil painting of a Highland cow which looks like a cow and will be given a prime spot in my house.”
